What we know about the 2016 Northeast Mall bookstore sale
Posted October 05, 2018 09:18:16 The Northeastern Booksellers Association (NBA) on Wednesday announced the sale of its 50th edition of its Northeastern bookstore, which is expected to be the last of the group’s five locations to open.
The NBA has been the only organization that has managed to preserve its brand as the Northeastern, the only Northeastern bookseller, for the past 25 years.
Its 50th year anniversary is planned for Oct. 21.
It’s not clear if the sale will be available to members of the public.
The NBA did not respond to a request for comment.
Bookstores are still going strong, but the NBA believes Northeastern is no longer a viable option.
The Norteys bookstore has sold out of the books it needs to stock and the Norteies books are being shipped out the door as soon as they can be found.
In 2016, the Nortes books were available in stores only for a few days and were then resold.
Last year, Norteities bookstore sold out and the NBO was able to find some new copies, but those were later sold out again.
This year, the NBAA has no plans to reopen Norteias bookstore.
It will still be able to buy Norteis books from other sources.
The group’s books will be sold at a discount to the normal wholesale price.
Northeastern has been open for a year.
The bookstore, located in Boston, has over 3,000 books and has been one of the most popular Northeasterns in the country, according to the NBBQ.
