Tiger Books sells 1.7 million copies of ‘Worst of the Worst’ book on Amazon
Tiger Books has sold more than 1.8 million copies since the paperback edition of its Worst of the Best series of novels, which is the first nonfiction book to make it onto Amazon’s Bestseller list.
The title, which has been sold to booksellers, retailers, and independent film companies, is now on Amazon’s most-recent bestseller list, which includes novels and short stories, and a new book that’s set to debut later this month.
Tiger Books co-founder David Buell said the book, which comes from the publisher’s own archives, is being distributed to bookstores, movie studios, music publishers, and more.
Tigers bestseller ranks are the latest to be released, following the debut of the first three installments of the series in November and December, which sold more 1.3 million copies.
Amazon’s newest list is the most recent that Amazon has revealed, and the first to show a book’s position on the platform.
In the past, Amazon had been a rare case where its own data was used to determine the bestseller ranking of a book.
In fact, Amazon was the first major publisher to make the effort to include information about a book in the rankings.
But in recent years, Amazon has begun to adopt a more holistic approach to rankings, with many publishers publishing more comprehensive lists and other data that it uses to decide which titles make the cut for its bestseller lists.
The book is a first for Amazon, which in recent months has been increasing its focus on books with a “literary value” (i.e., the highest number of words in a book).
Last year, Amazon said it would also include books that have a “compelling impact” on readers.
The Bestseller List, an online list that tracks sales, also includes books with high reviews.
For instance, The New Yorker, which was recently named the #1 bookseller on Amazon, was the #2 title in 2018.
In an email to Business Insider, a representative for Tiger Books declined to comment on the sales figures or the number of books in its bestsellers list.
In a statement, Amazon’s head of publishing, Marc Gerson, said the publisher has been working with bookstores and other publishers to ensure the books on its best-seller lists are a diverse range of books, not just books by the best-selling authors.
“Our goal is to make sure that the bestseller list is representative of the diverse range that readers and authors are looking for,” Gerson said.
