How to book a Chicago Bookstore in 2018
I am a Chicago native and have been since the day I walked through the door of my first bookstore.
My mother taught me how to shop at a young age and has been a constant support.
In addition to being an avid reader, I also love to read, so the Chicago Bookshop has been my primary source of book knowledge since I was a child.
But as of January 1, 2018, the new year is a new beginning for me.
The new owner of the Chicago store, Lisa C. Smith, plans to sell the space and move the books to her hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Citing the “diverse and changing landscape of the bookstore business,” Smith will sell most of her stock.
But she will also open a new store in Chicago’s Financial District, which she described as the “perfect spot for our newest addition.”
She also intends to open a bookshop at the University of Illinois campus, but that location has not been announced.
For many years, the Chicago bookstore was owned by the Chicago Public Library, and it has been home to many of my favorite books and the most popular collection of titles in the city.
I am thrilled to see the new owners take the place of the former owners and hope they will continue to make books a part of the daily lives of Chicagoans for many years to come.
With a small staff of six, the current owner of this new store will be the first person I have spoken with about her plans for the space.
Smith has a long history in the bookselling business.
She worked for the Chicago Library System for more than 20 years and has experience with over 500 books and magazines.
The book store has been on the market for years, and I am confident that the new owner will succeed in bringing the library’s library to Chicago.
But this is not the first time I have seen an owner attempt to change the face of a bookstore.
In 2015, the old owners of the bookshop announced that they would close the shop in 2018.
But in May 2017, the newly re-branded Chicago Book Shop moved to its new location, this time at the corner of Wacker Drive and Irving Park Road in the Financial District.
The new owners have taken their new storefront as far as it will go and have made the space a destination for customers looking to shop.
The staff has been extremely accommodating, allowing the new patrons to browse through the book catalog and browse through other book collections.
This will be a wonderful space to continue to offer our customers great value for their money.
Smith has been open to the idea of making the space even more popular, and the current owners have been welcoming customers who are interested in getting into the book store business.
I am proud to say that I have met Lisa C and have become friends with her.
The future of the space is in the hands of the new management team and I look forward to seeing the new bookstore open in 2018!
